The Ministry of Health does not support the bill that allows heads and department heads of medical institutions to combine their work with medical practice in private clinics in Bishkek and Osh. This was reported by the First Deputy Minister of Health, Aibek Matkerimov.

The initiator of this bill is deputy Baktybek Choybekov from the VII convocation, who presented it at a meeting of the committee of the Jogorku Kenesh dealing with labor, health, women's affairs, and social issues.

Deputy Gulkan Moldobekova noted that according to the regulations of the Jogorku Kenesh, bills proposed by deputies of the previous convocation must be withdrawn and reintroduced if no decisions have been made on them. She emphasized that this practice is standard for the parliament.

In addition, Deputy Ulukbek Karybek uulu expressed his opinion on the inadmissibility of adopting this bill, referring to a previously adopted law that prohibits heads and department heads from working simultaneously in state medical institutions and private clinics. According to him, the proposed changes may be related to lobbying interests.

In response to these statements, Aibek Matkerimov noted that this initiative does not reflect the position of the Ministry of Health. He added that the current legislation remains in effect, and no decisions on this bill have yet been made, as it has not undergone the proper review and approval.
