A recent study has identified the most reliable Chinese cars, according to media reports.
The Chinese Automotive Quality Network compiled a list of 175 gasoline car models that received the fewest negative reviews regarding breakdowns and other technical issues.
The highest reliability was demonstrated by vehicles produced at joint ventures. The top spot in the ranking was taken by the Audi Q6 crossover, manufactured at the SAIC-Volkswagen plant, which scored only 140 "penalty" points for breakdowns and problems.
In second and third places were also vehicles created at joint ventures. The Honda UR-V and XR-V crossovers, produced at the Honda-Dongfeng site, received 142 and 143 "penalty" points, respectively.
The fourth position was taken by the extended Audi Q2L crossover, which has 145 "penalty" points and is also produced at the FAW-Volkswagen joint venture. Rounding out the top five most reliable cars is the Honda Avancier crossover, manufactured at the Honda-GAC site, with 146 points.

However, there are also outsiders in the ranking. For example, the Range Rover Evoque crossover, produced at the Chery-Jaguar Land Rover joint venture, took the second-to-last position with 263 "penalty" points. Also at the bottom of the list are the Venucia Star and Dongfeng Aeolus AX7 crossovers with 259 and 267 points, respectively.
Among the Chinese-made cars available in the Russian market, the most reliable was the full-size GAC GS8 crossover, which fell just one point short of entering the top 5, scoring 147 "penalty" points. In eighth place was the Jetta VS7 SUV, built on the Volkswagen platform, with 150 points. The frame SUV Tank 500 took the ninth spot with 151 points, while the compact GAC GS3 crossover ranked 11th with 153 points.
Further down the list were other well-known models. For instance, the Haval Dargo ranked 17th with 161 points, the Tank 400 – 19th with 163 points, the Exeed TXL – 23rd with 169 points, the Changan CS35 Plus – 25th with 171 points, the Tank 300 – 27th with 173 points, and the Changan Uni-K – 34th with 180 points.
