According to witness reports, the incident took place on November 13 at around 13:10 at the corner of Jussupbek Bakiev and Erkindik streets. While driving, smoke and flames began to emerge from under the hood of a "Daewoo Nexia" model vehicle.
Fire services arrived at the scene promptly and were able to extinguish the fire. Fortunately, no one was injured as a result of the incident.
The car was equipped with gas cylinder fueling equipment. Preliminary conclusions suggest that a gas leak may have been the cause of the fire.
It is also worth noting that a similar incident occurred in Manas last month, when a parked car was completely burned. At that time, rescuers reported that the owner of that vehicle was wanted.
