In his analysis, Kamran Bokhari emphasizes that the "C5+1" summit highlights the strategic position of the United States in Central Asia. This summit was significant as it took place after President Donald Trump's meetings with the leaders of Russia and China, who traditionally dominate the region. The expert believes that this event indicates an increase in the importance of Central Asia in Washington's policy.

According to Bokhari, Kazakhstan occupies a central place in the new geostrategy of the Trump administration. "Allies and partners must take greater responsibility for security and stability in their regions, and Kazakhstan, in this context, is a natural leader of Central Asia and a growing ally of the United States," he asserts.

The expert identifies four key areas where Kazakh-American cooperation could significantly develop in the coming years:

1. Development of trans-Caspian trade through the Middle Corridor and other transport initiatives;
2. Reducing dependence on China in the area of critical minerals, including rare earth elements;
3. Ensuring energy security;
4. Participation in processes in the Middle East, as evidenced by Kazakhstan's recent entry into the Abraham Accords.

During the visit of the President of Kazakhstan to the United States, Donald Trump characterized Kassym-Jomart Tokayev as an outstanding president. Bokhari emphasizes that Tokayev's political and diplomatic experience is particularly important in the context of current global changes.

"Tokayev, with his long career that began in the Soviet era, is the architect of Kazakhstan's multi-vector foreign policy doctrine and plays an important role in this new geopolitical context," noted Kamran Bokhari.
