On November 11, Kassym-Jomart Tokaev arrived in Moscow, where on the first day of his visit he had an informal meeting with Vladimir Putin that lasted two hours. The next day, November 12, official negotiations took place, covering a wide range of issues in the political, economic, and humanitarian spheres. As a result of the meetings, the leaders of the countries signed a declaration that elevated the relations between Russia and Kazakhstan to the level of strategic partnership and alliance. Tokaev noted that this document "will open a new era in bilateral relations and confirm the high level of mutual trust and readiness for joint work."

Last month, Tokaev also visited Washington for the "Central Asia - USA" summit. During the meeting with Donald Trump, the Kazakh president described him as "a great leader and statesman, sent from above to restore common sense in U.S. politics." The press service of the president of Kazakhstan reported that during Tokaev's visit, more than $17 billion in deals were concluded between companies from both countries.
