During the meeting of the Kyrgyz-Azerbaijani intergovernmental commission on economic and humanitarian cooperation, which took place on December 7 in Baku, Ilham Aliyev met with Bakyt Torobaev, who conveyed greetings from the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, as reported by the information support service of the government apparatus.

In response, Aliyev conveyed his warm wishes to Japarov and noted the positive dynamics in the development of relations between Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan.

The President of Azerbaijan emphasized that the active agenda of the commission meeting serves as evidence of close cooperation and a desire to deepen practical ties between the countries, according to the press service's information.
Additionally, the participation of Azerbaijan in the consultative meetings of the heads of state of Central Asia was discussed, which, according to the Kyrgyz side, contributes to strengthening ties between the regions and developing sustainable transport corridors.
An important aspect of the meeting was also the expansion of investment cooperation. The participants discussed the activities of the Azerbaijan-Kyrgyz Development Fund, which has already begun financing its first projects. Ilham Aliyev expressed his intention to continue supporting promising initiatives in Kyrgyzstan using the resources of this fund.
