On December 12, the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, arrived in Ashgabat to participate in an international forum titled "Peace and Trust: Unity of Goals for a Sustainable Future." This event is dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust, as well as the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's status of permanent neutrality and the International Neutrality Day.
According to the president's press service, he was greeted by the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdymukhamedov.
After the official welcoming ceremony and a joint photo session, the delegations proceeded to the hall to participate in the forum.
The event is attended by the presidents of Armenia, Iraq, Iran, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, São Tomé and Príncipe, Uzbekistan, as well as heads of governments, leaders of international organizations, and other officials.
