On December 21, a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council took place in St. Petersburg, during which several significant documents were signed.
The leaders of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union, including Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Russia, approved the following agreements:
- A decision to start negotiations with Uzbekistan on concluding an agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union and Uzbekistan regarding the exchange of information on goods and vehicles involved in international transportation across customs borders;
- A decision on the key areas of international activities of the Eurasian Economic Union for 2026;
- A decision on the macroeconomic policy of member states for 2026-2027;
- An order for the implementation of the previous decision of the Supreme Eurasian Council from May 8, 2015;
- A decision on a project regarding the procedure for transferring amounts of import duties and other taxes;
- An order regarding a draft decision of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission related to the harmonization of legislation in the field of the financial market;
- A decision on plans for the liberalization of services in construction;
- A concept for the development of tourism within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union;
- A draft decision on the principles of liability for non-compliance of products with mandatory requirements;
- A draft decision on the principles of liability in the field of sanitary and phytosanitary measures;
- A draft decision on the amount of the fee when appealing to the Court of the Eurasian Economic Union;
- A decision on the chairmanship in the bodies of the union;
- An order regarding the time and place of the next meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Council;
- An order on personnel matters in the activities of the Chairman of the Court of the Eurasian Economic Union.
