Countries within the EAEU intend to protect the single market from unsafe products

The countries that are part of the Eurasian Economic Union plan to take measures to protect their single market from unsafe products. This information was announced by representatives of the Eurasian Economic Commission.

According to the provided data, the accreditation bodies of the "five" countries are working together to prevent the unjustified issuance of certificates of conformity for products.

During the meeting, measures to combat unscrupulous entities engaged in conformity assessment were discussed. Participants emphasized the need to strengthen interstate cooperation in the field of accreditation within the context of the EAEU.

“The unification of efforts by accreditation bodies creates a reliable shield against unscrupulous organizations engaged in conformity assessment, which helps protect the union's single market from unsafe products. We aim to increase transparency and trust in conformity documents, eliminating the possibility for unscrupulous practices,” noted Valentin Tataritsky, Minister for Technical Regulation of the EEC.

Earlier, attention to the control of product circulation in the market was intensified in the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union.
