The regional news publication Turmush continues its series of materials titled "Жеңеке," where we share the life stories of young brides and experienced daughters-in-law.

The main goal of the project is to emphasize the importance of family values and showcase the unique talents of married women. In this issue, we will meet Nuraiym Bektiyanova, a 26-year-old resident of the village of Bokonbaev, located in the Ton district of the Issyk-Kul region.

Nuraiym works as the head of the "Health Strengthening" office at the Ton District Center for General Medical Practice, although she is currently on maternity leave. She has two higher education degrees: a bachelor's in phytosanitary control and a master's in economics and accounting, both obtained from the Kyrgyz National Agrarian University.

She got married at the age of 24, on November 11, 2022, a day she considers particularly beautiful. They met at the wedding of Nuraiym's classmate, where her future husband was a guest from the groom's side. After their meeting, she went to work in Moscow, but they continued to communicate by phone, and it was there that he confessed his love for her.

Nuraiym spent a year in Moscow, and then her husband invited her to return to Kyrgyzstan for their wedding. She agreed, and soon after, they became husband and wife. "Now we are very happy," Nuraiym shares.

She describes herself before marriage as a "tough" girl who did not wear dresses or skirts. After the wedding, she had to learn how to tie a scarf, which took about two months. "Now I laugh that I almost never take the scarf off my head," she says.
After the wedding, Nuraiym and her husband planned to open a store, and their dream came true. "We opened an auto parts store. My husband said, 'I will work in a taxi, and you take care of the store,' and since then he started teaching me the basics of working with auto parts," she recounts.

When male customers come to the store, they often doubt my knowledge, but I always ask, "What parts do you need?" Sometimes we even have debates when I explain that one part does not fit their car, while another is perfect. Surprised customers ask, "Did you memorize that?" Jokingly, I even kick the wheel of their car, saying that some parts are already worn out — this always brings laughter.

Working with auto parts, I have learned to identify malfunctions by sound and even select bulbs for headlights, as well as create "dry fog" for the car's interior.

"Some men are surprised by my knowledge," Nuraiym shares.

She also recalled a funny incident: "Once, a customer asked me about an inner grenade for a Ford Transit. I clarified, 'Is your car the white one parked outside?' When he confirmed, I asked, 'Ford Transit 1997 with a "crab" engine?' His astonishment was immense, and he asked, 'How do you know that?' I replied, 'I have all the secrets of this car.' Since then, he has become my regular customer.

Sometimes Nuraiym drives her father-in-law's car — a Honda CR-V. Her father-in-law tells her, 'Daughter, drive yourself.' Since the village is small, everyone knows what everyone does, and sometimes men come to her for advice, asking, 'You're in a Honda CR-V, I hear a knock here — what could it be?' I share my knowledge," she added.

Nuraiym speaks gratefully about her husband: "I am very thankful to him for teaching me all this and inspiring me. At first, I was scared, thinking I wouldn’t manage, but thanks to his support, I learned to distinguish auto parts and car brands in just 4 months."

She has almost no free time: every morning she takes her son to kindergarten and then goes to the store.

The couple has many plans for the future, and one of their main goals is to develop and expand their auto parts store. "We are gradually achieving all the goals we set," Nuraiym shares.

She is the mother of a two-year-old son.
