Young Talents: 7th Grader Ayana Kylchbekova Wins Silver in Judo in Chui Region After Two Months of Training

The athlete from Tokmok, Ayana Kylychbekova, recently won a silver medal in the weight category up to 36 kg at the judo competitions held in her hometown.

A correspondent from Turmush spoke with the young talented athlete.

“I am in the 7-B grade at secondary school No. 12. There are three children in our family: I am the middle child, my older sister Nuraiym, and my younger brother Aman. My parents are Bakyt Kylychbekov and Guzal Buranova,” the girl said.

“I started practicing judo just two months ago. During this time, I managed to take 3rd place at an international tournament and now 2nd place at the competitions in the Chui region. My father suggested I try judo, and I agreed to start training,” she noted.

I have two medals: 3rd place at the international competitions held in Bishkek and 2nd place at the competitions in the Chui region. I also have diplomas and trophies. I enjoy studying the English language, practicing sports, and drawing,” Ayana concluded.
