"Young Talents": Alikhan Adiliev Won About Two Dozen Medals Competing in Hand-to-Hand Combat and Kökbörü
He has participated in several competitions and won about 20 medals, as well as 1 belt.
Alihan was born on April 29, 2009, in the village of Romanovka.
“There are three children in our family: I have an older brother and a younger sister. My father's name is Adil Janibaev, and my mother's name is Chynara Gazikeeva. I am currently studying in the 10th G grade at the Ch.Aitmatov Secondary School in the city of Shopokov.
My father introduced me to hand-to-hand combat. The sport has taught me discipline, stability, and the pursuit of goals. My coach Talas Tokorov is a great example for me. I want to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to him.
I have almost no free time because my father doesn't like it when I sit idle. Therefore, I am used to dedicating most of my time to sports, training, homework, and household chores. This has strengthened my character and taught me how to use my time wisely,” he said.
Adiliev noted that besides hand-to-hand combat, he loves horseback riding and participating in the game of kök börü.
“I really love horses. I have been growing up in the saddle since childhood. For me, a horse is a symbol of strength, freedom, and trust. That's why kök börü is also very close to me. In the village, we gather in teams with friends and play kök börü. When I gallop across the field on a horse and feel the responsibility in the game, it inspires me and gives me strength. In the future, I hope to defend the honor of my country.
I also plan to successfully finish school, enter a major university, and get a good profession. At the same time, I don't want to give up sports and dream of achieving great success in my favorite field. I believe that with the support of my parents and through my own efforts, many victories await me ahead,” he said.
Alihan recently took a prize-winning place at the national competitions held in the city of Karakol in the Issyk-Kul region.
