In the village of Soku-Tash, a major renovation took place at the K. Abdrayimov Secondary School, marking the first such renovation in 66 years since the school opened.

This information was reported by local residents, as referenced by a Turmush correspondent.

The school was put into operation in 1959. Since then, the building has faced serious issues, needing major repairs, except for two roof replacements. The condition of the windows and doors deteriorated, and the heating system did not function properly, forcing children to study in warm clothing during the winter months.

According to the school principal, Tursunay Zupanova, the major renovation began in the spring of this year, and by the start of the school year, the building was fully ready for the children to return to classes.

“The condition of our school was critical, and it was in urgent need of repairs. In recent years, we had to constantly touch up the walls, but that only provided a temporary fix. The floors had rotted, and the doors in some classrooms had swollen and did not close properly. Heating only worked in the classrooms, while the hallways remained cold. We installed a new heating system in the hallways and built a boiler room. Now the school is warm and bright, and the territory is fully fenced,” she noted.

Over 27 million soms were allocated for the renovation from the republican budget, and the work was carried out by the company OsOO "Asema".
