Secondary school named after M. Lomonosov holds high positions among educational institutions in the city and regularly ranks among the top ten for quality of education.
However, some parents expressed dissatisfaction with the new learning conditions. According to them, there were transportation issues in the morning hours, causing the children to freeze, and the condition of the sanitary facilities in the school leaves much to be desired. “The repairs took a long time, during which the children studied online. Today they came to the new school for the first time. In the morning, route No. 146 was delayed, and the school bus was also late, so the children were cold. Moreover, the toilets turned out to be dirty, and the heating was not working. How can one study in such conditions?” parents complain.
The school director, Dinara Almatova, stated that all necessary conditions for students had been created. “The toilets were only completed yesterday. The school underwent major repairs, and all deficiencies have been addressed. Heating is on, and the classrooms are warm. Today is the first working day. We have 2,500 children studying here. The responsibility for getting the children to school lies with the parents,” she noted.
Tynchtykbek Dosmuratov, head of the city education department, reported that the bus was delayed by only 10 minutes. “We adjusted the schedule. School bus No. 3 is operating without problems. The toilets were cleaned, and the work was completed the day before, so the cleaning was not done immediately. The heating is working,” he added.
With the school’s move from Kurmanjan-datka Street to A. Mamirova Street, students can reach the educational institution by public transport on the following routes:
- route taxi No. 146 — Rudaki, A. Mamirova, B. Osmonova, G. Aitieva, Kurmanjan-datka, Jinakh, Alymbek-datka, S. Bakhapov, N. Isanova, Osh State University;
- route taxi No. 116 — Rudaki, A. Mamirova, Amir-Timur, G. Aitieva, A. Datka, Kasymbekova, I. Razzakova;
- route taxi No. 119 — St. Petersburg, Kairma, A. Mamirova, Amir-Timur, G. Aitieva, Alymbek-datka, Kurmanjan-datka.
In addition, a free school bus No. 3 has been organized for students, which runs three times a day along Jinakh, Kurmanjan-datka, Suyunbaeva, D. Sadyrbaeva, and A. Mamirova streets to Kalinin School.
