History of the School

School No. 1 was founded in 1948 as a seven-year school. At that time, children from the villages of Ivano-Alekseevka, Bülbülöet, Keng-Aryk, Kalba, and Jerge-Tal came here for education. The building of the educational institution is located on the territory of the current city park, not far from the store.

The first director was Beyshen Ismailov, a teacher of the Kyrgyz language and literature. He was born in 1910 in the village of Kara-Oy and received his education at the Kök-Archykskaya school (1916–1929), after which he continued his studies at the Frunze Pedagogical College (1929–1934).

From 1933 to 1935, he worked as a teacher in one of the schools in the Talas region, from 1935 to 1937 he served as the school director, and in 1940 he became the head of the district education department. In 1943, he held the positions of second secretary of the Budyonnovsky district and deputy head of the district Komsomol, and in 1948 he became the secretary of the Kirov district committee. From 1948 to 1950, he again served as the school director.

In 1950, by the decision of the Talas city council and the education committee, a 10-year Kyrgyz school was opened. Muza Zholoev was appointed as the director, who worked in this position for only one year. At that time, the school had 405 students, and the staff consisted of 42 teachers. The student body was diverse: some came from the city (93), some from the boarding school (125), and the rest from nearby villages.

In 1962, the school was named after the founder of Tajik literature, Sadriddin Ayni, by the decision of the Talas city council No. 117.

For some time (since 1962), the educational institution functioned as the "Girls' Boarding School of the City of Talas." In 1948, the school was named after Abzhalbek Cholponkulov and received the status of secondary school No. 1. In 1993-1994, at the 12th session of the deputies of the Talas region, he was recognized as one of the first teachers of the Talas Valley.
