Candidates and political parties will be able to use the mobile applications of the mentioned banks to collect voluntary donations for their election funds. The CEC of the KR reminds that in accordance with the Constitutional Law "On the Elections of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic and Deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh," candidates nominated independently, as well as parties nominating candidates, are required to create their own election funds to finance their campaigns.
All funds forming the election fund must be deposited into a special bank account opened by the candidate or political party with the permission of the CEC of the KR. The formation of the election fund can be carried out from:
- the candidate's or political party's own funds;
- voluntary donations from individuals and legal entities, except for those prohibited.
Contributions to the election fund can be made through a bank settlement account or mobile application in a cashless form, as well as in cash through bank cash offices. However, it is important to remember that cashless transfers or cash contributions through unidentifiable payment systems are prohibited to avoid the anonymity of donations.
Financial resources from election funds have a strictly designated purpose and can only be used to cover expenses related to the election campaign.
