According to eyewitness accounts, prior to the incident, the driver of the "Subaru" lost control, leading to a collision with another vehicle. Afterward, he attempted to flee the scene but soon lost control of the car again, causing the vehicle to veer off the road. Preliminary data indicates that the driver died from the injuries sustained.
The press service of the Traffic Safety Department of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chui region reported that on January 8, 2026, at around 02:00, on the Bishkek–Osh highway, near the intersection of Frunze and Moscow streets in the village of Romanovka, the driver of the "Subaru Legacy," A. uulu M., born in 1994, collided at high speed with a "Kia Optima" that was traveling in the same direction.
After the collision, the driver of the "Subaru" left the accident scene and continued driving eastward. Approximately at 02:30, while driving the same vehicle, he again lost control on the highway in the village of Romanovka, moving from north to south, and crashed into a tree located on the left side of the road.
As a result of this accident, A. uulu M. died at the scene from the injuries sustained. The "Subaru Legacy" was impounded, and necessary examinations were ordered.
