According to Zalimbekov, this decision was made due to the spill of lubricants into the Naryn River, which harmed the ecology. Specialists worked promptly at the scene of the incident.
The incident occurred on January 14 at the 428 km mark of the Bishkek—Osh road. The driver, K. A., was operating a "DAF" truck and transporting 36,410 liters of fuel oil from the "Jalal-Abad KPK" plant (CJSC "Kyrgyz Petroleum Company") to Kara-Balta. As a result of the accident, fuel oil spilled onto the roadside and into the Naryn River. Water samples were taken, and soil damage was recorded over an area of 49 m².
The total amount of damage amounted to 9,525.6 soms. In accordance with the Code of Offenses, the driver was fined for damaging agricultural land in the amount of 20,000 soms (Article 237), as well as 10,000 soms for violating water protection regulations (Article 236), Zalimbekov explained.
CJSC "Kyrgyz Petroleum Company" is a producer of petroleum products in Kyrgyzstan, 100% of its shares belong to OJSC "Kyrgyzneftegaz." The company is engaged in the production of petroleum products from various raw materials and offers processing services. Currently, it produces three types of products: gasoline, diesel fuel, and fuel oil.
Experts noted that the cause of the accident was damage to the steering rack of the heavy-duty vehicle, resulting in the driver losing control. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.
