The country has reached the necessity of creating a digital platform for the tourism industry. This statement was made by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the President's Administration of Kyrgyzstan, Adylbek Kasymaliev, at a recent operational meeting.
He emphasized that currently, tourism services are presented in a fragmented manner. The new platform will allow for the integration of all services, making trips more comfortable for vacationers.
“At the moment, procedures such as obtaining visas, planning routes, booking, transportation services, and insurance are not interconnected. This leads to tourists wasting time, facing bureaucratic difficulties and language barriers. Each government agency operates in its own separate information system, which results in a broken tourism chain. As a result, the state does not have a complete picture, businesses lack access to a unified digital space, and tourists are deprived of clear and reliable information,” noted Kasymaliev. He called on the Tourism Department under the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, together with the Ministry of Digital Development and Innovative Technologies, to develop a unified platform that will integrate government services, business services, and payment systems as soon as possible.
In addition, Adylbek Kasymaliev outlined a number of tasks for government agencies within the framework of this project:
- The Tourism Department should define the requirements for the platform and develop its functionality, acting as the state customer;
- The Ministry of Digital Development and Innovative Technologies must ensure funding for the development and implementation of the platform within two months;
- The Ministry of Finance should allocate funding for the operation and maintenance of the platform in the next year;
- The institution "Tunduk" should be responsible for the development, implementation, and technical support of the platform, as well as prepare it for testing within three months;
- Integration of the platform with the information systems of government agencies and the "Tunduk" system is required.
