The parliamentary group "Adilet Kyrgyzstan" heard information about the construction and reconstruction of roads in the country

At the meeting of the parliamentary group "Adilet Kyrgyzstan," information was reviewed regarding the current state of construction and reconstruction of key roads in the country, as well as the repair of local highways, provided by the Ministry of Transport and Communications.

The First Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications, Beknazar Bazaraliev, reported that the ministry had successfully completed the approved plan. According to him, by the beginning of 2025, it was planned to asphalt 1,092 kilometers; however, by the end of the year, 1,606 kilometers of work were completed, of which 1,545 kilometers were asphalted. Additionally, 13 large-scale projects in road infrastructure are being implemented in the republic.

During the discussion, Deputy Ismanali Joroev noted that credit funds are primarily used for road repairs and emphasized the importance of quality control over the constructed facilities. He also criticized the narrowness of the road being built by the company "China Road" in the Leilek district, which in places does not reach two meters in width. Deputy Suyunbek Omurzakov suggested considering the issue of asphalting the Myrzake-Kara-Kulja-Alayku road within the framework of the republican budget.

Deputy Zhyldyz Talaibek kyzy emphasized the need to improve the condition of internal roads and asked about the completion timeline for the Naryn-Bayetov road construction. The deputy minister responded that the total length of the road is 112 kilometers, of which 80 kilometers remain to be built. "Contracts with two companies have already been signed, and this year we plan to complete the laying of the first layer," he added.

Deputy Zhyldyz Kurmanalieva reported on the suspension of preparatory work for the repair of the road connecting the villages of Achi, Shatrak, Soku-Tash, Ak-Terek, and Alchaluu of the Kyzyl-Tuu rural administration in the Suzak district, and called for the resumption of this work. The speaker confirmed that they would be completed this year.

Deputy Rakhmat Junushbaeva emphasized the importance of completing the construction of the southern road between Balakchy and Karakol before the start of the tourist season, noting that the work has been ongoing for five years.

Deputy Nurjamal Torobekova inquired about the current state of work on the Osh-Sary-Tash-Erkesh-Tam highway. Deputy Bakhridin Shabazov raised the issue of completing the construction of the northern bypass road around Bishkek and other roads in the Issyk-Ata district. In turn, Deputy Gulsharkan Kultaeva noted that choosing reliable large companies for the implementation of road construction projects is critically important, as small contractors may delay deadlines. Deputy Ravshanbek Rysbaev brought up the topic of constructing a road to the Abshyr-Ata recreation area.

Deputy Gulnara Akimbaeva also added that the condition of the roads affects the economic development of the country and the accessibility of regional transport, touching on issues of attracting investments and improving construction quality in this area.

Kubanychbek Samakov raised the issue of the quality of road construction, calling for the prevention of deficiencies at the execution stage rather than addressing their consequences.

The head of the "Adilet Kyrgyzstan" group, Nurbek Sydygaliev, noted the active work of the ministry on the development of the road network and emphasized the need for timely completion of the Naryn-Ak-Talaa projects and those in the Issyk-Kul region. As a result of the meeting, the information from the Ministry of Transport and Communications was taken into account.

In addition, a report on the activities of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Food Industry regarding the improvement of irrigation systems, provision of drinking water, and oversight of capital construction was presented at the meeting. The deputies emphasized the importance of timely preparation of irrigation systems for spring fieldwork.
