At the meeting of the "Ala-Too" parliamentary group, the situation in the garment industry, as well as issues of employment and economic conditions, were discussed. The event was attended by both group members and representatives of the garment industry along with employees of the relevant government structures.

Representatives of the garment industry voiced a number of problems they face, including difficulties in interacting with the Wildberries marketplace, restrictions on access to the Russian market, and the need for sales diversification. They emphasized that over 3,000 sewing workshops have ceased operations, leaving thousands of people without income. In this regard, a call for support for the garment industry and domestic producers was made.
During the discussion, Deputy Jumabek Salymbekov asked the Minister of Economy and Commerce about the number of closed garment enterprises, pointing to a reduction in production volumes and loss of competitiveness. He inquired about the measures being taken by the ministry to address these issues, considering Kyrgyzstan's membership in the EAEU.
Minister of Economy and Commerce Bakyt Sydykov reported that work is currently underway on issues of cooperation with Wildberries.
Deputy Seidbek Atambaev discussed the possibility of attracting foreign specialists from Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Uzbekistan to the garment industry. Deputy Talaybek Masabirov expressed the need to create a logistics center and provide garment enterprises with preferential loans. Sydykov noted that the opening of the Wildberries logistics center is planned before 2028. Deputy Bolotbek Borbiev emphasized the importance of bringing garment production out of the shadows. Deputy Cholpon Esenamanova raised questions about the rules for importing to Russia, product labeling, and VAT. Deputy Nilufer Alimjanova also noted that a comprehensive approach is required for market diversification. Deputy Azamzhan Jalilov added that Kyrgyzstan should take advantage of all economic opportunities provided by its membership in the EAEU. Azamat Isirailov stressed the need to create conditions for the development of domestic producers and to address issues related to transport logistics and sales markets.
As a result of the meeting, the "Ala-Too" parliamentary group instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to consider the outlined issues, including preferential lending and market diversification.
