A logistics center for Wildberries will be built in Kyrgyzstan

The Minister of Economy and Commerce, Bakyt Sydykov, announced the start of negotiations with the marketplace Wildberries for the construction of a large logistics center in Kyrgyzstan. This statement was made at a meeting of the parliamentary group "Ala-Too," where current issues in the textile industry were discussed.

In response to questions from deputies regarding the import of goods into Russia, the minister clarified that entrepreneurs are now required to pay import VAT in the Russian Federation.

Sydykov added that details of the cooperation with Wildberries are currently being worked out, but he cannot provide specific information yet.

"A logistics center is planned to be created on an area of 28 hectares. We are close to finalizing the investment agreement, and the coordination process will begin soon. Wildberries will create a separate center, which will be a significant project providing employment for 6,700 people," the minister noted.

He also reported that the facility is expected to be put into operation by 2028.

Earlier, the director of the "Legprom" association, Azamat Kerimbek uulu, stated that the owner of Wildberries, during her visit to Kyrgyzstan in 2023, requested a plot of land for the logistics center.
