Kyrgyzstan received international recognition
As of the end of 2025, Kyrgyzstan was named the best foreign destination for tourists at the Russian Traveler Awards, as reported by the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The award ceremony took place on December 8 at a traditional event, where the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Russia, Kubanychbek Bokontayev, was presented with this prestigious award.
This award is considered one of the most significant in the Russian tourism industry.
According to the jury, the Kyrgyz Republic took first place in the "Foreign Destination" category among international contenders.
The ambassador noted that the country places great importance on developing its tourism potential and improving the quality of services provided. This leads to an increase in interest in Kyrgyzstan, especially in the areas of ski tourism and recreation at Issyk-Kul. Additionally, the World Nomad Games also play an important role in attracting tourists.
It is worth noting that this year, the competition featured 560 applications from 50 regions of the CIS countries in 22 different nominations.
