The intellectual rights to the project have been transferred to the Ministry of Culture
According to the press service of the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports, and Youth Policy, the author of the World Nomad Games, Askat Akibaev, has officially transferred the intellectual property rights of the project to the Cabinet of Ministers.
“The concept of the World Nomad Games was developed in 2008 and registered with the Patent Service of the Kyrgyz Republic in 2011, which provided legal protection as the author's intellectual property. Since then, Askat Akibaev has significantly influenced the development and organization of the I, II, and III World Nomad Games,” reports the Ministry of Culture.
It is noted that the transfer of rights to a state body is aimed at achieving several strategic goals:
• strengthening the role of the state in managing, developing, and promoting the project at a global level;
• ensuring the institutional sustainability of the World Nomad Games;
• enhancing the cultural and sports influence of the Kyrgyz Republic on the international stage;
• preserving the World Nomad Games as part of the national heritage and passing this heritage on to future generations.
“The state intends to continue systematic and long-term work on the development of the World Nomad Games as a national brand that has made Kyrgyzstan known on the world stage, as well as to expand its global opportunities,” the press release states.
