President of the Federation of Mountaineering of Kyrgyzstan, Eduard Kubatov, successfully raised the flag of the VI World Nomad Games at an altitude of 5,895 meters — the summit of Kilimanjaro. The state flag of Kyrgyzstan was also raised alongside it. This was reported by the secretariat of the World Nomad Games.
On social media, Kubatov shared photos of his ascent, highlighting the importance of the upcoming Games for Kyrgyzstan in 2026.
The VI World Nomad Games are scheduled to take place from August 31 to September 6, 2026. The opening ceremony will be held in Bishkek, while the main sporting events and the closing ceremony will take place in the Issyk-Kul region. Representatives from 89 countries are expected to participate. The Games will be dedicated to ethnic sports and traditional games of the nomadic peoples of Central Asia.
