In 2025, Kyrgyzstan focused its efforts on expanding exports to the People's Republic of China, which has become an important direction in the field of foreign economic activity. According to information from the press service of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, eight protocols have already been signed regarding the supply of various goods, including wool, cashmere, beans, meat, and poultry by-products. Additionally, three protocols concerning the export of raw leather and thermally processed meat have been approved.
One of the significant achievements of this year is the successful launch of dried fruit exports: the first batch of dried apricots weighing 23 tons has been sent to China. Currently, relevant authorities are working on creating documentation to begin supplies of vegetable oil, wine, and fresh vegetables to the Chinese market.
Moreover, the republic is actively developing its positions in other markets. Approximately 300 kg of honey has been exported to the United Kingdom, which is an important step towards obtaining permission for supplies to European Union countries. The export of 144 horses to Saudi Arabia also confirms the high potential of Kyrgyz livestock farming.
In addition to traditional sales channels, producers in Kyrgyzstan have begun to actively utilize the opportunities of digital trade. The export of dried fruits, honey, and processed products is now being carried out through the Wildberries marketplace, allowing access to a wide audience of consumers in the online segment. The expansion of export geography in 2025 has become a key factor in supporting local producers and stimulating sustainable growth in the country's agricultural sector.
