Beans produced in Talas are starting to conquer the Dubai market. The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, Bakyt Torobaev, shared this news on the air of Birinchi Radio.
He noted that in the autumn season, when bean prices significantly drop, the government allocated 100 million soms to support local farmers. As part of this initiative, 1,000 tons of beans were purchased at a price of 95 soms per kilogram.
“In the autumn months, farmers face the need to prepare their children for the educational process, and this time requires additional financial resources. Therefore, the government decided to provide assistance,” emphasized Bakyt Torobaev.
He also added that an increase in bean prices is expected in January-February.
Currently, active negotiations are underway regarding the possible export of beans to countries such as India, Iran, Russia, and Turkey, as well as discussions about supplying products to the Dubai market.
Additionally, local farmers in the Talas region are being encouraged to consider diversifying their crops, including the cultivation of sugar beets and safflower. Safflower is a valuable plant used for producing oil, cake, and straw, which serve as excellent feed. More than 50 small enterprises for safflower oil production are already operating in our country.
