A new leather processing plant is planned to be built in the Issyk-Ata district. The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, Bakyt Torobaev, announced this in a live broadcast on Birinchi Radio.
The minister reported that a 100-hectare plot of land, previously privately owned and unused, has been transferred to state ownership and allocated to the "Agroholding." This project is being implemented under the directive of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Torobaev also noted that communications have already been established in this area: water supply, electricity, and sewage. Soon, entrepreneurs involved in the processing of wool, leather, and livestock products will be able to lease production facilities.
It is expected that the construction of the leather processing plant will take approximately 1.5 years. The implementation of this project will contribute to the development of the processing industry, the creation of new jobs, and the increase in added value of livestock products.
