In the autumn of this year, the government of Kyrgyzstan decided to allocate 100 million soms to support farmers from the Talas region who are engaged in bean cultivation. This was reported by Deputy Prime Minister Bakyt Torobaev in an interview with "Birinchi Radio".

Torobaev emphasized that during the autumn period, when prices for beans usually decrease, the cabinet of ministers allocated these funds to assist agricultural producers. This money is intended for the purchase of 1,000 tons of beans at a price of 95 soms per kilogram.

“At this time of year, farmers face the necessity of preparing their children for school and universities, and therefore they require financial support. The state has decided to help them during this important moment for them,” he noted.
According to forecasts from the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, global prices for beans are expected to rise in January-February 2026.
Bakyt Torobaev also noted that Kyrgyzstan is actively working on expanding its export markets. Currently, negotiations are underway for bean supplies to countries such as India, Iran, Russia, and Turkey. One of the key directions for export is the Dubai market, where significant volumes of products are planned to be sent.

The Ministry of Water Resources and Agriculture recommends that Talas farmers consider transitioning to the cultivation of other crops, such as sugar beets and safflower.

Safflower is a valuable raw material used for producing oil, cake, and feed straw. There are more than 50 small enterprises in the country engaged in its processing.

The transition to new crops will help farmers reduce risks and ensure a stable income, regardless of fluctuations in bean prices on international markets, added Bakyt Torobaev.
