In the course of 11 months of the current year, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Kyrgyzstan reached nearly 1 trillion 628 billion soms, and further growth is expected by the end of the year. This was reported by Bakyt Torobaev, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, on the air of Birinchi Radio.
He noted that the overall GDP growth rate was 10.2 percent.
The specific growth indicators for the main sectors of the economy are as follows:
- industry — 10.2%,
- construction — 29%,
- services — 8.9%,
- agriculture — 2%.
“Agriculture remains a crucial element in ensuring food security and makes a significant contribution to the overall economic development of the country,” he emphasized.
