Adylbek Kasymaliev, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, shared information about the steps being taken to address the issues with the export of Kyrgyz goods to Russia.

In his interview for state media, he emphasized that this situation arose recently.

“Russian authorities have intensified control over goods entering the country from Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, which falls within the framework of the EAEU. We understand their concerns. However, goods produced in Kyrgyzstan are being delayed at the border between Kazakhstan and Russia. We have sent a delegation from the Ministry of Economy to resolve this issue; they visited the border. Additionally, a headquarters has been established in the ministry to analyze each appeal and inform the government. We are in contact with our Russian colleagues to find solutions. We are considering the possibility of creating a joint operator with the Russian side to simplify the procedure for checking goods and crossing the border,” he noted.

Kasymaliev also added that the possibility of sending clothing produced in Kyrgyzstan separately from other goods is being discussed.

“The Russian side is not opposed to this. However, there is a question about taxes for goods placed on the Ozon and Wildberries platforms. This issue may be resolved soon: the marketplaces are ready to become tax agents who will pay taxes, and the goods will be sold taking these payments into account. The issue with Ozon has already been resolved, and it will also be settled with Wildberries soon,” he said.

Furthermore, Kasymaliev mentioned the president's decree on supporting the textile industry. “It is possible that the amounts of contributions to the Social Fund will be reviewed,” added the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers.
