According to Parpiev, the closures affected at least 4,000 to 5,000 sewing workshops, and there is a threat of further reductions in the number of enterprises. He noted that when opening their sewing production, entrepreneurs undergo numerous inspections by regulatory authorities over a period of three months, while in the crisis conditions, no agency has shown interest in the problems of businesses.
In the entrepreneur's opinion, the Ministry of Economy and Commerce is not coping with current challenges, and the existing regulatory system is characterized by insufficient flexibility and excessive reliance on legislative norms.
As an example, he cited the practice of Uzbekistan, where since 2014, systematic support for the sewing industry has been implemented at both the state and local levels. According to him, key issues such as financing, certification, workforce provision, and the creation of a competitive environment for producers have been successfully addressed in that country.
Parpiev also expressed surprise at the lack of financial support for the sewing industry, unlike agriculture. He noted that the problems of the agricultural sector are actively discussed by deputies, while issues in the sewing industry remain in the background, even though about 1.5 million people work in this field.
Additionally, he emphasized that the State Tax Service reports 9,000 registered entrepreneurs in the sewing industry; however, the actual number, according to him, is significantly higher.
In conclusion, Parpiev stated that in 2025, about 3,500 events aimed at addressing entrepreneurs' problems were organized in hotels, but in his opinion, these discussions did not lead to real results.
