
16 citizens of Kyrgyzstan traveled to the Republic of Korea on February 3, 2026, to find employment under the EPS program.
Over five days, the Employment Center for Citizens Abroad under the Ministry of Labor organized training for applicants who had already signed contracts. The training program focused on the practical use of the Korean language.
The training course includes:
- Studying intercultural communication and adaptation, including the culture and history of Korea.
- Familiarization with social norms, traditions, and work ethics.
- In-depth study of the Korean language to enhance communication skills.
- Practical training to facilitate adaptation in the workplace and interaction with management.
According to the Ministry of Labor, the Employment Center has been successfully operating in this field for 18 years.
According to the agency's information, thanks to the partnership with the Ministry of Labor of the Republic of Korea, more than 5,000 citizens of Kyrgyzstan have found jobs. Currently, over 1,500 citizens of Kyrgyzstan are working in Korea under the EPS program.
Most of them are employed in the manufacturing industry, including areas such as:
- food production;
- chemical industry;
- paper production;
- factories producing plastic, rubber products, and glass products.
The average salary is $1,700, with living and food expenses fully or partially covered by employers.
It is important to note that a sufficient level of proficiency in the Korean language is required to participate in the EPS program.
The Center continues to actively develop programs aimed at expanding employment opportunities for citizens of Kyrgyzstan abroad and enhancing their competitiveness in the global labor market.
