Today in the Nooken district of the Jalal-Abad region, the chairman of the Central Election Commission, Tynchtyk Shainazarov, held a meeting attended by the presidential representative Tilek Tekebaev and local government leaders. The agenda included issues related to the repeat elections in constituency No. 13, scheduled for March 1, 2026.
Shainazarov emphasized the importance of strict compliance with electoral legislation by all participants in the electoral process. He reminded that during the early elections for deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh on November 30, 2025, modern technologies were implemented, such as identification devices with printers and automated ballot boxes for counting votes. However, there were recorded instances of cameras being installed at 35 polling stations, which violated the secrecy of the vote and led to the results of the elections being declared invalid.
“It is important for all participants in the electoral process to understand that the effectiveness of technical means depends on adherence to the law. Everyone must bear full responsibility for their actions,” the chairman of the CEC emphasized.
He also appealed to representatives of local authorities, law enforcement agencies, members of election commissions, and candidates to create conditions for fair and transparent voting, as well as to ensure the protection of voters' rights.
During the discussion, CEC member Akbalyk Jumalieva raised the issue of accessibility of polling stations for persons with disabilities. She noted that ramps are absent at some stations in Mailuu-Suu and Bazar-Korgon.
Meeting participants also discussed cases of violations of electoral legislation and the voting process.
The presidential representative in the Jalal-Abad region, Tilek Tekebaev, assured that the authorities would not interfere in the electoral process and would assist in conducting all procedures in accordance with the law. He also urged candidates and their representatives to adhere to legislative requirements and emphasized the need for explanatory work to increase citizen participation in the elections.
