The educator from the village of Ak-Zhar, located in the At-Bashinsky district, Medina Bektursun kyzy, shared her opinion on how children attending kindergarten perceive the surrounding world and learn. She discussed this topic with a correspondent from Turmush.

In her opinion, modern children are increasingly hindered in their development due to mobile phones.

Medina is a teacher who is genuinely devoted to her work and deeply understands the world of young children.

Born in 1997 in the At-Bashinsky district of the Naryn region and having spent her childhood here, she has maintained a connection to her homeland, which also influenced her choice of a life partner from the same region.

Medina is a caring mother of two children, successfully balancing family responsibilities with professional duties. She currently works as a Russian language teacher at the "Akzhar–Sezim" kindergarten, where she actively participates in forming foundational knowledge in children.

She views working with children not just as a source of income, but as an important responsibility that shapes the future. In her lessons, it is important for her to find an individual approach to each child, focusing on the development of speech, thinking, and worldview. For her, each child is a personality that needs to be listened to, and the teacher is someone who guides and supports.

“Sometimes it seems that children absorb information worse, but this may be related to underdeveloped fine motor skills. Moreover, the use of phones has a significant impact. Some parents, to finish their tasks more quickly, simply hand their phones to their children, not giving them the attention they deserve. However, a phone cannot replace live communication, play, and the exchange of emotions,” Medina emphasizes.

She highlights the importance of playing and communicating with children on equal terms, respectfully, without using simplified language. It is necessary to speak to them clearly and accessibly, explaining everything in an understandable way. She also expresses concern about the increasing cases of developmental disorders, such as autism, emphasizing that this condition is not curable and requires preventive measures and attention to early symptoms.

When communicating with children, it is important not to look down on them, but to sit at their level, look them in the eyes, and speak face to face. This approach helps children feel their worth.

Children are capable of absorbing information even faster than adults. They do not just listen—they soak everything up like a sponge. Therefore, responding to their questions correctly and understandably is a great responsibility for parents. When a close contact is established between parents and children through play and communication, they begin to trust each other and develop in a wholesome way,” she adds.
