Nazgul Shopokova, an educator with over a decade of experience, shared her opinion on the delay in speech development among children in an interview with a Turmush correspondent.
She currently works at the "Ak-Zhar Season" kindergarten located in the village of Ak-Zhar in the At-Bashinsky district of the Naryn region. Throughout her career, Nazgul has actively participated in the educational process, contributing to the comprehensive development of children.

During the conversation, she noted that one of the most serious problems has been the late speech development of her students. "Children are indeed starting to speak later. In my group, there are little ones who are already four years old, but they cannot communicate fully. The main factors are the influence of mobile phones and televisions. Kids are shown videos in different languages — Kyrgyz, Russian, English, and others, and as a result, they get confused and do not understand which language to speak. Some parents give their children smartphones to attend to their own matters, and then they are surprised when their child only starts speaking after entering kindergarten," she said.

According to Shopokova, great attention is paid to the development of fine motor skills in her group, as this is related to speech and cognitive development. The children engage in developmental games, mold with clay, and perform various tasks aimed at working with their hands.

Nazgul also touched upon the issue of cooperation with parents. "Some of them do not come to our invitations, but we continue to strive to teach children to speak and express their thoughts," she added.

Comparing the current students with those from ten years ago, she noted changes: "Previously, children could dress themselves and spoke freely. Now there are cases where children cannot put on their clothes independently."

The educator called on parents to spend more time with their children and maintain communication with the kindergarten. "I ask parents — be more active, come to meetings when you are invited, and pay attention to your children. The development of their speech and future depends on the joint efforts of parents and educators," she concluded.

Nazgul Sydykbekovna Shopokova was born on September 12, 1980, in Bishkek. At the age of six, her family moved to Naryn due to her father's work, and it was there that she began her studies at secondary school No. 7 named after Maten Sydykov.

After completing her schooling, Nazgul enrolled in a university in Naryn, and a year later, she got married and moved to the village of Ak-Zhar in the At-Bashinsky district.

She is currently raising five children and is a grandmother to two grandchildren.
