
Kazakh investors intend to invest over 26 billion tenge in the development of resort infrastructure on Issyk-Kul. This was announced at a press conference in the Senate by Dauren Temirbekov, Deputy Minister of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, according to Kazinform.
He also noted that Almara Petroleum will be the investor in the construction of the sports and wellness center "Olympus," which is managed by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports. The investment in this project will amount to 3.7 billion tenge.
In addition, around 10 billion tenge is planned to be invested in the development of the recreation center "Samal," which belongs to the Kazakh National Research Technical University named after K. I. Satpaev.
As for the sports and wellness camp "University," an investor for this facility has not yet been determined. However, according to preliminary data from the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the expected investment volume is 13 billion tenge.
Temirbekov also emphasized that work on the implementation of these projects began in early 2025, without waiting for the ratification of the agreement, which will allow for the completion of all facilities by the end of 2029.
Earlier, Senate deputies approved an agreement between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan regarding property rights to resort facilities located in the Issyk-Kul region.
