In Manas, the construction of six new educational institutions is planned.

By the order of President Sadyr Japarov, this year the construction of educational facilities will begin: 20 schools in Bishkek, 10 in Osh, and 6 in Manas. All of them are expected to be ready by the start of the new academic year, which begins on September 1.

This information was presented at a meeting attended by the Minister of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Communal Services Nurdin Oruntaev, the presidential representative in the Jalal-Abad region Tilek Tekebaev, and other officials.

Government representatives familiarized themselves with the projects of the new schools on-site. The contractors have been instructed to start construction work this week. It is expected that around 3 billion soms will be allocated from the republican budget for the construction of the six educational institutions in Manas.

“The design took into account the shortage of student places in Manas. Work will begin in the coming days. The new buildings will meet the first category of seismic resistance. In the 36 new schools being built across the country, the furniture will be updated—we are completely abandoning wood in favor of modern production. The educational institutions will be equipped with video surveillance systems and solar panels. If the electricity generation from the panels exceeds the school's needs, it may be sold,” noted Oruntaev.

Construction will be carried out without tender procedures. Minister Oruntaev explained that “Kyrgyzkurulush” will be the general contractor, while other companies will work as subcontractors. The client will check the estimates and documentation for each facility to avoid embezzlement of budget funds,” he added.

A new building for 275 places will be constructed at secondary school No. 5 named after B. Osmonov, which is part of the municipal territorial administration (MTA) "Dostuk." Currently, about 3,000 children study at the school. The management of the institution emphasized the need for expansion, as some classes are overcrowded—up to 55 students are enrolled in them. The main building, constructed in 1965, is designed for 840 places and has not undergone major repairs since then.

This year, in addition to the new building, a complete reconstruction of the old building will also be carried out. The presidential representative inquired about the results of the Republican Unified Testing (RUT) for graduates and urged the school director to enhance the development of additional clubs.
