At the border checkpoint "Torugart," a pilot project aimed at implementing an electronic queue system for trucks has been launched. On March 10, 2026, representatives of the State Customs Service became acquainted with the project implementation process during a working trip to the Kyrgyz-Chinese border.

The main goal of the electronic queue system is to optimize the movement of freight transport and reduce the traffic jams that previously reached 25 kilometers in length. This created serious problems for the road infrastructure and worsened the environmental situation around Lake Chatyr-Kul.

The system involves the preliminary registration of trucks, which will allow for a more orderly passage through the checkpoint. Vehicles will be placed in the waiting area "Kara-Bulak" and will be directed to the checkpoint in stages according to the electronic queue.

The project is being implemented in accordance with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic No. 401 dated July 8, 2025, as well as within the framework of activities for the implementation of the Concept for the Development of the Customs Service of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2026–2030.

During his working trip, the Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Service K. Mukashov also familiarized himself with the process of modernizing the infrastructure at the "Torugart" checkpoint. In particular, he inspected the construction of the inspection and customs control complex (IDK), the reconstruction of administrative buildings, and the expansion of the checkpoint area.

Additionally, during the visit, a new waiting area for participants in foreign economic activity was opened, aimed at improving working conditions and increasing comfort for carriers, companies, and other representatives of the business community.
