The Iranian authorities have stated that American intelligence services and associated organizations are planning to carry out a large-scale provocation on U.S. territory. This was reported by Ali Larijani, who holds the position of Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, on his social media account on X.
He pointed out that some participants in the so-called "Epstein network" intend to organize an incident that could be compared to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. Larijani noted that the alleged goal of this conspiracy is to attempt to blame Iran.
“We, as Iran, categorically oppose such terrorist plots and do not wage war against the American people,” he added, emphasizing that Tehran condemns any acts of terrorism directed against civilians.
Against the backdrop of these accusations, the rhetoric of U.S. President Donald Trump is becoming increasingly aggressive. On March 13, he sharply criticized the Iranian leadership, calling it a "terrorist regime."
Trump stated: “For 47 years, they have been killing innocent people around the world, and now, as the 47th President of the United States, I am coming for them. It is a great honor.” He characterized high-ranking Iranian officials as “crazy thugs.”
On March 15, Trump addressed the new Supreme Leader of Iran, Mojtaba Khamenei, who took office after the assassination of his father at the beginning of the operation initiated by the U.S. along with the Israeli army.
The U.S. President advised the new Iranian leader to surrender. The operation, which began on February 28, continues despite Tehran's warnings of possible consequences.
