39-year-old Ukrainian boxer, undefeated and the current world champion in the heavyweight division under the WBA, WBC, IBF, and IBO versions, Oleksandr Usyk has confirmed that his farewell fight will take place against the famous British fighter Tyson Fury.

As reported by AP News, Usyk noted: "In my mind, Tyson Fury is the last dance."

It is worth reminding that in his last fight, which took place on July 20 at Wembley Stadium in London, Usyk faced Daniel Dubois and won by knockout in the fifth round. This fight was a rematch, and the title of undisputed world champion in the heavyweight division was at stake.

Usyk has a professional record of 24 wins, 15 of which were by knockout, and no losses. His professional boxing debut took place in November 2013.

Dana White, president of UFC and Zuffa Boxing, expressed interest in signing a contract with Usyk. He stated: "I am going to sign everyone who we believe has the potential to become a world champion or the best in the world. Do I consider Oleksandr Usyk one of the best in the world? Yes, I am going to sign everyone." White added that many promoters have not performed adequately and that the UFC could hold 44 shows this year.

Lennox Lewis, former undisputed world heavyweight champion and member of the International Boxing Hall of Fame, shared his opinion on how Usyk would fit into the fights of the 1980s and 1990s. "He would fit in great [in my era]. Look at how Evander Holyfield performed. Alexander is the same height and just as strong. I think he would do just fine," Lewis stated, as reported by Boxing News.
