On March 17, 2026, in the Naryn region, in the Kochkor district, the final stage of drilling and blasting work was completed as part of the project to construct the Balykchy — Kochkor railway line. The work was carried out on 13 sections from the 37th to the 43rd kilometer. The first blast was executed in July 2024, with a total of 100 blasting operations conducted. During the drilling and blasting operations, all safety requirements were adhered to, resulting in no recorded cases of injury to people or animals, as well as no damage to nearby structures, including residential houses and cafes. In accordance with the established schedule, roads were temporarily closed in the sections from the 37th to the 39th kilometer to ensure safety. These operations were a significant part of the technological process, contributing to the advancement of construction in challenging geological conditions.

The length of the Balykchy — Kochkor railway is 63.4 km. The construction of the embankment has been practically completed along the entire length of the line, construction work continues in the Kochkor district and other sections, and the construction of the Kochkor railway station is actively underway.
