At the ceremonial event dedicated to the spring equinox holiday of Nowruz, Adylbek Kasymaliev, the chairman of the cabinet of ministers and head of the presidential administration, participated. This information was announced by the press service of the Kyrgyz cabinet.
In his address to the people, representatives of the diplomatic corps, and guests of the capital, he congratulated the Kyrgyz people on Nowruz on behalf of the president and the government — an ancient holiday that symbolizes purification and spiritual purity, as well as abundance.
Adylbek Kasymaliev noted that Nowruz unites peoples and cultures without national borders and carries values of consent, peace, and unity, preserving the heritage of the nomadic people.
In his speech, he also emphasized the successes of the country achieved in recent years. In particular, by 2025, Kyrgyzstan will fully regulate its state borders, which will be an important indicator of its sovereignty and a significant achievement in the current geopolitical situation.
“Preserving territorial integrity is our main achievement and source of happiness. Kyrgyzstan remains on the path of peace, dialogue, and stability,” he added.
Speaking about development indicators, the prime minister noted that by 2025, the country's gross domestic product will reach nearly 2 trillion soms, and the budget will exceed 1 trillion soms, which will be directed towards supporting the population and developing the economy.
In 2026, it is planned to allocate 38.5 billion soms for agriculture, which will help support about 500,000 farmers. More than 100 new industrial enterprises are being introduced annually, at least 200 social facilities are being built, and the volume of road construction is increasing more than fivefold — to over 1,000 km per year.
Kasymaliev also noted changes in the social sphere. This year, a mortgage without a down payment for a term of 25 years is being introduced, which will provide housing for about 20,000 families across the country.
Support for families and children is also a priority. Starting June 1, 2026, a monthly allowance called “Bala ырысы” will be introduced for all children under 3 years old, regardless of income level, and the payment of “Balaга сүйүнчү” will continue.
On April 1, 2026, a salary increase for teachers and healthcare workers is expected, which will affect about 200,000 people.
He paid special attention in his speech to the values of modern society.
“Honesty is strength, trust is a resource, and dialogue is the foundation of modern society. An educated people always wins,” emphasized Adylbek Kasymaliev.
In conclusion of his speech, he noted that Kyrgyzstan is a small but powerful country with a rich history that has chosen the path of peace and consensus.
“Unity is the foundation of prosperity. Our path is the path of consensus,” he summarized.
The celebration of Nowruz in the main square of the country was accompanied by an extensive cultural program, including a yurt city, elements of traditional life, national cuisine, crafts, and performances by creative groups reflecting the rich cultural heritage of the Kyrgyz people.
