According to information from Bloomberg, Apple plans to allocate significant amounts, amounting to billions of dollars annually, for the implementation of Google’s Gemini artificial intelligence technologies to enhance its voice assistant Siri.
Apple's choice of Gemini is due to its power, which will allow for a substantial modernization of Siri's functionality. Alphabet, Google's parent company, will receive over a billion dollars a year for the use of this AI model.
Although Apple also considered implementing OpenAI's ChatGPT and Anthropic's Claude, the final decision was made in favor of Google's technology. Gemini will process 1.2 trillion parameters, significantly higher than the current 150 billion, which in turn will improve the processing of complex data and Siri's understanding of context.
It is important to note that the collaboration with Google is temporary until Apple develops its own solutions. The updated version of Siri is expected to be presented in the spring of next year.
Additionally, in October 2025, Apple became the third company in history to exceed a market capitalization of four trillion dollars, following Nvidia and Microsoft. On October 28, the company's stock reached a record high of $269.87 per share, with a total capitalization of $4.005 trillion.
