
The growth rate of forcibly displaced persons slowed down in the second half of 2024, however, the scale of the crisis remains at an unprecedented level. According to the report, over the past ten years, the number of people who have left their homes has nearly doubled.
More than 60% of all forcibly displaced persons are within their own countries, remaining internally displaced persons.
Many of the displaced are seeking refuge in neighboring states, often in low-income countries.
The main regions experiencing the crisis include Sudan, Syria, Afghanistan, Ukraine, and others.
