According to reports, on November 21, a group of armed individuals attacked a Catholic school, resulting in the abduction of 303 students and 12 teachers. In the first hours after the attack, about 50 children managed to escape. As of now, no group operating in the region has claimed responsibility for the kidnapping.
The spokesperson for the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Daniel Atoari, stated: "We have not received official notification about this and have not been properly informed by the government. We hope this is true and are waiting for the release of the others." (quote from CNN).
