At the Winter Paralympic Games, which will start on March 6, 2026, in Milan and Cortina (Italy), three athletes from Mongolia have received the opportunity to participate in cross-country skiing competitions. This was reported by the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports.

In particular, skiers GANBOLD Batmunkh and DASHDORJ Tsegmid will compete in the 10 and 20 kilometers distances, respectively, while SELENGE Adiyaamunkh will compete in the sprint for sit-skiers. Ganbold is one of the most experienced participants in the Winter Paralympic Games, and Dashdorj is preparing for his second appearance at this event.

Selenge made history by becoming the first woman from Mongolia to qualify for the Paralympic Games. This achievement was made possible by the bronze medal won at the Asian Cup in cross-country skiing in Japan this year. In this tournament, the gold went to Chinese skier Shang Yilin, and the silver to Japanese athlete Sato Nana.

Mongolia first participated in the Winter Paralympic Games in 2006 with skier SUKHBAT Niyamaa. In 2026, this will be the country's sixth participation in these games.
