For 29 days, believers will observe fasting. According to the calendar, the Night of Qadr will be celebrated from March 16 to 17, and the holiday of Eid al-Fitr is scheduled for Friday, March 20.
“The dates for the beginning of the Hijri months are determined based on data from international astronomical centers. However, religious holidays may be shifted by one day depending on the visibility of the new moon,” the official statement said.
The celebration of Eid al-Adha is planned from May 27 to 29 inclusive.
