When and how long will Kyrgyzstanis have time off in 2026: holiday schedule

The Ministry of Labor of the Kyrgyz Republic has published the production calendar for 2026, which includes the official schedule of weekends and holidays.

According to this document, the New Year holidays will last from January 1 to January 7, providing citizens with a full seven days for rest.

Additionally, in May, Kyrgyz citizens will be able to enjoy extended weekends from the 1st to the 9th.

In the coming year, the official non-working days will be:

• March 8 — International Women's Day;
• March 21 — Nooruz;
• August 31 — Independence Day.

The calendar also indicates the religious holidays for Muslims — Orozo Ait and Kurman Ait, which are also declared as days off. The exact dates for their observance will be announced later.
