The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan has adopted a new resolution that approves a list of workers for whom a reduced working day has been established. This document, number 859, was signed on December 31, 2025.
This decision was made in accordance with the Labor Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as based on the provisions of the Constitutional Law "On the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic".
The resolution specifies updated categories of workers with special working conditions, for whom the working day will be 6 or 5 hours, depending on the level of professional risk.The reduced working hours have been established for the following categories:
- medical workers dealing with infectious, tuberculosis, and psychiatric patients;
- employees of rehabilitation centers, physiotherapy rooms, and forensic pathology services;
- staff of ambulance stations, blood centers, and laboratories;
- pharmacy workers, pharmaceutical production employees, and control laboratories;
- experts from the forensic medical service;
- specialists working with radioactive substances and sources of ionizing radiation;
- employees of social institutions and specialized children's establishments;
- workers in laboratory diagnostic services.
This resolution cancels:
- the Government resolution of the Kyrgyz Republic dated February 8, 2008, No. 39;
- the Government resolution of the Kyrgyz Republic dated March 5, 2010, No. 131, which amended the 2008 document.
